On April 22, 2025, the XVII Republican Student Subject Olympiad in Sociology among leading higher education institutions of the country concluded. This intellectual competition is with the aim of enhancing the professional training of future sociologists, stimulating scientific research, and strengthening cooperation between universities.
A total of eight teams representing major universities of the republic participated in the Olympiad. Among them were M. Utemisov West Kazakhstan University, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, Kazakh National Women’s Teacher Training University, and Narxoz University.
The team “JAIYQ qogam” from M. Utemisov West Kazakhstan University достойно represented their institution. The team consisted of:

Nurdaulet Erlanov – who, as a mobilographer, was responsible for the team’s creative work and the preparation of visual content.
During the competition, the “JAIYQ qogam” team demonstrated a high level of academic training, sociological thinking, the ability to apply modern methods, and effective teamwork. In a highly competitive academic environment, the team secured an honorable third place, receiving valuable prizes and a diploma.
For young specialists, this Olympiad served not only as a competition but also as a platform for exchanging experience, establishing professional connections, and demonstrating their potential.
