Intellectual Competition “Modern Technologies and the Issues of Ethics and Morality”

On April 20, 2026, an intellectual competition on the topic “Modern Technologies and Issues of Ethics and Morality” was organized at a high level at West Kazakhstan University named after M. Utemisov. The event was aimed at developing young people’s critical thinking, analyzing the impact of modern technologies on society, and promoting moral values.

The competition was attended by Vice-Rector for Educational and Social Affairs Mergen Kuanyshuly Suleimenov; Associate Professor, Dean of the Faculty of Culture and Arts, PhD Karlygash Rakhymovna Kazhimova; Senior Lecturer of the Social Sciences Educational Program at the Faculty of History, Economics and Law, Candidate of Philosophical Sciences Aizhan Muratovna Yesentayeva; as well as Methodologist of the Competence Center Laura Zhasuzakovna Yermekbayeva. They shared their views and provided valuable guidance to the students.

Overall, this intellectual competition significantly contributed not only to students’ knowledge but also to the development of their critical thinking, public speaking skills, and ethical awareness. In today’s digital era, such events are especially important, as the effective use of technology requires, above all, a strong sense of responsibility and morality.

At the end of the event, the winners were announced and awarded special certificates.

Such meaningful initiatives provide young people with valuable opportunities to develop into responsible individuals, find their place in society, and strengthen their sense of responsibility for the future.
