The purpose of the educational program |
The aim of the educational program is to prepare competitive specialists who are capable of realizing professional competencies, who own modern methodology and methods of scientific research of international relations, world politics, diplomacy and foreign policy, the methodology of teaching disciplines of the specialty «International relations» at the university, the skills of assessing, forecasting and neutralizing international crises and threats to international security, skills to analyze the international situation and conflict otentsiala and can effectively adapt to changing labor market conditions |

Formed competencies and learning outcomes |
The competencies of the Master of Education in International Relations are formed on the basis of key competencies (requirements for general education, socio-ethical, economic, organizational and managerial, professional competencies) KC1. General educational competencies: possession of basic knowledge in the field of social and humanitarian disciplines that contribute to the formation of a highly educated person with a broad outlook and a culture of thinking; KC2. Informative and communication competencies: possession of skills of working with modern information systems, skills of using information technologies in the field of professional activity; KC3. Competence in the field of state, Russian and foreign languages: the use of state, Russian, foreign languages in the field of business communication, possession of politically correct oral and written speech within the framework of professional topics in the state, Russian and foreign languages, the ability to conduct dialogue, correspondence, negotiations in the state, Russian and foreign languages within the level of the set tasks for solving professional issues; KC4. Social and ethical competencies: knowledge of social and ethical values, norms of business ethics, legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan and international law, trends in social development of society, the ability to navigate in various social situations and respond adequately to them, work in a team, correctly defend their point of view, propose new solutions, find compromises, correlate their opinion with the opinion of the team; KС5. Competencies in the field of personal development: mastery of the skills of acquiring new knowledge, self-development, self-realization, use of creative potential, independent acquisition of new knowledge and skills with the help of information technology, professional and personal growth; KC6. Expert and analytical competencies: knowledge of the skills of building an analytical research strategy, the basics and basic skills of applied analysis of international processes, working with media materials and compiling press reviews, the ability to prepare analytical reports, reports, expert assessments and their protection in the expert community; KC7. Research competencies: knowledge of planning skills, organization of research work, innovative research methodologies of problems of international relations, world politics, foreign policy activities of the state; KC8. Economic and organizational and managerial competencies: knowledge of the basics of management, marketing, finance, goals and methods of state regulation of the economy, the role of the public sector in the economy, knowledge of decision-making analysis skills, organization and management of work collectives; skills of flexible and mobile response to changing conditions; KC9. Professional competencies: knowledge of methods of analysis, assessment, forecasting of the main trends in the functioning and development of modern trends in the system of international relations, world politics, foreign policy of the state in the context of globalization, new challenges and threats; KC10. Professional applied competencies: Professional and applied competencies: knowledge of international project management skills, methods of work of international organizations, non-state actors, methods and forms of interaction of participants in international relations; KC11. Applied competencies: Ability to apply a systematic approach to the analysis of international relations, knowledge of methods of system analysis using the relationship of part and whole, element and structure, skills in applying the system method in theoretical and practical activities; KC12. Instrumentals competencies: proficiency in drawing up diplomatic documents, draft agreements, contracts, event programs, conducting diplomatic correspondence, conducting negotiations using modern diplomacy and mediation |

LO1. Capable of self-development of intellectual, moral, communicative, organizational and managerial skills, self-education and improvement of professional competencies based on methods of professional reflection and the use of innovative technologies; LO2. Able to use fundamental knowledge in the field of modern natural Sciences, social and humanitarian, economic Sciences, taking into account the deep connections in their historical interaction, methods of these Sciences in various types of professional and pedagogical activities; LO3. Able to use modern innovative technologies and methods of diplomatic activity and multilateral diplomacy, methods and techniques of modern international negotiations in professional activities, using knowledge of the cultural and civilizational foundations of international relations, world politics, foreign policy of modern States; LO4. Able to model possible options for the development of international processes, world politics, foreign policy activities of States based on the skills of planning and organizing research, expert and analytical activities, research methodology and the ability to work with world public opinion and media materials; LO5. Able to monitor new trends, trends in the development of international relations, world politics under the influence of new threats and challenges of globalization for international, regional and national security, using the methodology of scientific and political analysis; LO6. Able to apply the basics and principles of academic integrity in teaching activities using the latest methods and technologies of teaching disciplines of the specialty, socio-political and humanitarian disciplines; LO7. Able to carry out constructive communication in a professional environment and work in a team, defending their point of view, taking into account the opinion of the team; LO8. Able to apply the norms and functional styles of state, Russian, foreign languages, technologies of negotiations in a foreign language; skills of scientific analysis of professional information in a foreign language, skills and abilities to translate professional texts from a foreign language; skills of using modern translation technologies in professional activities; LO9. Able to develop recommendations and methods to eliminate threats and risks to international and national security, to resolve international crises and conflicts, using methods of political analysis, assessment and modern diplomatic technologies and mediation; LO10. Able to develop strategic projects in the field of international relations and foreign policy of Kazakhstan, analyses and expert opinions on problems of international relations, world politics, foreign policy, foreign countries, the ROK, using skills of monitoring changes in the field of international and national security of Kazakhstan in the context of modern challenges and threats; LO11. Able to apply modern information technologies and artificial intelligence capabilities in his professional activities; LO12. Able to develop analytical reports, references, expert assessments of Kazakhstan's position on international relations, world politics, using the conceptual framework of Kazakhstan's foreign policy, understanding of Kazakhstan's national interests and its place in the system of international relations. |
