From February 3 to February 28, 2025, as part of the methodological month organized at the Faculty of History, Economics and Law on the topic "Experience in applying innovative educational technologies in higher education", Head of the Department of History of Kazakhstan, PhD, senior lecturer A.S. Baibulsynova and lecturer, Master A.S. Gubai conducted an open lesson on the discipline "The History of medieval Kazakhstan" for students of the Ist-21 group of the educational program 6B01601-History using the "Insight" method. The "Insight" method is a teaching method aimed at the independent discovery and comprehension of new knowledge by students. At the same time, the teacher does not just provide ready-made information, but, on the contrary, encourages students to actively search, reflect and research. The main purpose of the lesson is to develop students' critical thinking and support their independent learning. The open lesson was attended by the methodologist of the Department of methodological work and educational technologies Ermekbayeva Laura Jasuzakovna, Deputy Dean of the Faculty for Academic Affairs S.M. Uteshova, Deputy Dean for Educational Work G.T. Zhalekenova, as well as teachers of the educational program. The "Insight" method contributed to the development of students' skills in analysis, decision-making and critical evaluation of information. During the seminar, the platforms Survio, LearningApps, Epic Pen were used, as well as video materials about the "genealogy of the Kazakhs" were provided through a YouTube channel and information from the website tumalas.kz . Methods such as "Roulette", "Artificial Intelligence", "Inventors" and "Question-answer writing" were used in the lesson. At the end of the seminar, the reflective stage made it possible to increase the active participation of students in the educational process, deepen their knowledge and achieve the goals of the lesson.
