In April 2023, through the merger of the two departments of Economics and Management and Accounting and Finance, the Faculty of Business, Management and Tourism was formed. The mission of the Department of Business, Management and Tourism is to train competitive personnel who adequately respond to modern processes of globalization and are able to become leaders in the field of economics. The principal features of the ЕP's mission are to organize professional training for specialists in demand on the labor market and are manifested by the following provisions: - formation of highly professional human resources of the country; - combining the processes of education and training, science and practice, based on the use of innovative technologies with a focus on practical work in the specialty; - the training is conducted by qualified teachers, professional teachers with work experience, practical teachers-social partners, employers.
The purpose of the Business, Management and Tourism education is to provide high-quality training for specialists through the effective implementation of educational programs using modern technologies. The target priority is high–quality training of a future specialist, uniting the interests of educational, business and economic organizations of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
ЕP business, management and tourism achieves success in achieving this goal by solving the following tasks:
- updating elective disciplines in accordance with trends in changing labor market demands;
- development of modular educational programs;
- involvement of students in research activities as a condition for creating a practical scientific and educational environment;
- continuous improvement and updating of the educational, material and technical base of the educational institution;
- further improvement of the educational process management system;
- increasing the level of professional competence of teaching staff, supporting and stimulating their initiative and creative activity;
- the introduction of innovative technologies necessary for the effective development of educational materials; improving the social partnership of the OP in order to train a competitive specialist.
Areas of training: OP Business, Management and Tourism is a graduate and works towards the training of competent highly qualified specialists with theoretical and practical skills in the following educational programs: Accounting and Auditing (Bachelor's degree); Finance (Bachelor's degree); Economics and Management (Bachelor's degree); State and Local Government (Bachelor's degree); Tourism (Bachelor's degree); Economic Security (Bachelor's degree); Marketing and Business (Bachelor's degree); For continuing education, the OP trains masters in the following educational programs: Economics (Master's degree); Management (Master's degree); State and Local Government (Master's degree).
Teachers of Business, Management and Tourism are holders of badges of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan:
- Doctor of Economics, Associate Professor Mergalieva L.I. – for achievements in scientific and pedagogical activities and significant contribution to the development of the university was awarded the medal "Adal enbegi ushin";
